Anne Hathaway Officially Joins Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe in 'Les Miserables'

In Hollywood, an actor or actress's true age is often as much of a special effect as some massive, green-screen enhanced explosion. According to the NY Post, one actress is suing to keep it that way. The paper reports that an unnamed star has filed a lawsuit against Amazon.com for using her credit card information to reveal her age on the Amazon-owned site IMDb; she's seeking $1 million in damages. The actress -- who filed the suit in Seattle under the name "Jane Doe" -- claims that having her age on public record threatens her career. "In the entertainment industry, youth is king," the suit allegedly reads. "If one is perceived to be 'over-the-hill,' i.e. approaching 40, it is nearly impossible for an up-and-coming actress, such as the plaintiff, to get work." According to the Post, the woman's exact age isn't listed in the lawsuit, but it does say she lives in Texas. Amazon and IMDb got her credit card information in 2008 when she subscribed to IMDb Pro; her age was published shortly thereafter. [via NYP] Follow Moviefone on Twitter Like Moviefone on Facebook
