New Regency moves into 'Broken City'

WahlbergCroweNew Regency originates aboard to co-produce the Allen Hughes-helmed drama "Broken City" with Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe installed on star. Project, put together by John Tucker, arises from Emmett/Furla Films. New Regency is co-financing the pic, that is distribbed by 20th Century Fox, per its deal with New Regency. "Broken City," set in the backdrop of latest NY, centers around a classic cop-switched-P.I., who, while attempting to show his existence around, finds themselves thrust in the heart of the seedy backroom politics from the corrupt mayoral election.
